Stop Swerving In And Out Of Traffic

And I’m back! it’s been a while since I posted anything. Had some family stuff going on/ was dealing with the after effects of the regional depression that came with Gronk’s retirement announcement.

Anyways, I’ve noticed a disturbing trend that’s probably been going on since men were riding horses and before women were allowed to drive, but I zone out (let’s forget I said that) when I drive and only come-to when someone cuts me off, goes 10 miles under the speed limit, or Dance With Somebody comes on the radio. I was driving back from the city on Friday in rush hour and some asshole in a BMW decided to merge, diagonally, across three lanes, causing me to slam on my breaks.

He could have gotten away with this if his Beamer was a “I’m rich and you don’t matter” Beamer. You know how when people have so much money societal norms don’t apply to them? Yeah, he wasn’t one of those. His BMW was from an early 2000’s movie where the main character was driving a BMW they thought was nice but we all knew it could be had with a 420 credit score and a sleazy salesman.

Anyways, as I said, I only really notice what’s going on when someone does something like that; and it’s been happening a LOT. What is the point of merging lane from lane, moving a car length every few minutes, when you’re in stand still traffic? You get home maybe 3 minutes early? Traffic sucks, yes, but at the same time you know how long you will be in the car for so sit back and relax. And on a Friday? It’s the weekend. All you 40 year old mom’s and dad’s of toddlers are racing home to poopy diapers and maybe 2 hours of sleep. Take that time on the highway to listen to music, put on a podcast, literally anything. Just don’t cut me off because I will lay on my horn and stare aggressively at you until we are side-by-side and I look away because deep down I am a gigantic coward.
