With the series finale of Game Of Thrones right around the corner the stars of the show have been making their media rounds. Kit Harrington was on Stephen Colbert, Lena Headey was on Jimmy Kimmel, and Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams have been doing interviews for Glamour and Entertainment Weekly.
As you can expect, nobody is saying anything. The most anticipated series finale maybe ever has been kept under wraps as much as possible. After the continuous leaks of plots and episodes during the filming of season 7, show creators Dave Benioff and D.B Weiss have contractually sworn everyone to secrecy, filmed multiple endings so if anything were leaked who knows if it’s correct, and even kept the scripts of encrypted ipads that actors and actresses are not allowed to take home with them.
With all that said, there is no inkling as to what might happen during this season (as it should be). Even the trailer, which will likely be the only one, didn’t give anything away. Some people even speculated that none of the footage in the trailer will be in the show, or that some clips in the trailer were altered to not give away too much, and I love it. I want to know as little as possible as this season going in. I honestly wish they didn’t even release a trailer; it only lead to me watching frame-by-frame breakdowns of it which I regret watching.
But last night at the Rangers game Sophie Turner, aka Sansa, was put on the jumbotron and chugged her glass of wine. Hmmm. Interesting. Who else chugs wine that comes to mind?
Two people that have sat on the throne, two people that guzzle wine at the same rate Baelish screws people over. Will Sansa sit on the throne at the end of the show? I doubt it. But with the lack of information coming from the actors and HBO, this is all we have to go off. Was Sophie trying to tell us something?
