Every so often, whether it be in your personal life or through some avenue that you follow, someone will be surprisingly dumb. To the point where you question if they are intentionally acting in a certain way or saying certain things just to troll you.
I am at that point with Kyrie. I am not questioning his abilities with a basketball. He is the Bob Ross of the NBA; silky smooth and always makes something beautiful happen. But with his comments over the last few months I am starting to think that he is trolling us.
First- getting mad that reporters are asking him about his committment to the team AFTER he went and said he was going to re-sign with the team in October. Bro, you made your bed. If you say I don’t owe anybody shit well, yeah, people are going to question you.
Second- playing in the All-Star game after missing your last two games? I hope someone in the locker room over the last few days asked him what the hell his deal is because that is the most narcissistic, self-serving move that says “fuck you” to your teammates.
Third- the interview he did today has my blood boiling. After being caught on camera with Kevin Durant saying, “Two max contracts. It’s time” he has the audacity to get mad when that is questioned. WHY WOULDN’T IT BE QUESTIONED??? You’re a top 10 player in a contract year that has made contradictory statements for 5 months and were very clearly speaking in a manner that suggested you were leaving. Don’t be upset when someone is trying to do their job.
This guy, man. Hates the internet and reporters when it goes against him but loves and uses it when he wants out of Cleveland, is promoting Veganism, and God knows what else. I haven’t went to his social media pages in forever because I know it would make my blood boil.
I’m at the point where I dont even know if I want this guy back. I can’t remember a Boston athlete being so ignorant of his actions. There have been countless athletes that were loathed far more than him because they stunk on the field. But this guy can’t stop speaking out both sides of his mouth and making himself look like an ass in front of a wildly dedicated fanbase.
I truly think he is the most delusional, self-serving athlete that has ever played in Boston. He is an artist on the court, no doubt. But off the court? He is Farva. Nobody likes him but just sorta put up with him.
