Long time drug-free attorney general Alan Wilson said marijuana is the most dangerous drug in the United States. When I first read this headline I thought, “This guy is just ignoring facts. Weed doesn’t kill people.” But, just to make sure that all the scientists in the world who have confirmed that thought weren’t wrong I decided to do a deep dive of my own, and the results may have changed my mind.
Tobacco is the number 1 killer when it comes to drug in the United States. Roughly 480,000 people die every year from tobacco, or around 1300 people a day. So, weed isn’t the most dangerous drug in the US, but what about the second most dangerous? Pot, right? NO. It’s people being unhealthy shits that sit around and eat like a pig and refuse to exercise. But, there has to be a reason why most Americans weigh roughly 17 pounds more than they should, right? We aren’t a lazy group. We don’t blame assign our health issues to nonsensical notions like healthy food tastes gross, we don’t have the energy to exercise, or that we don’t have the time to. No. The reason being extremely unhealthy is the second leading cause of death is because we are all smoking pot!
35 MILLION- yes you read that right, 35 million Americans claim they are regular smoke tokers. How dare they. And what are some of the side effects of being stoned? Increased appetite and a lack of energy. Now, nobody smokes and says “I’m gonna go house a salad with grilled chicken and a nice vinaigrette dressing.” We want domino’s, gummy bears, and cheez-itz.
So while there are no documented cases of weed directly killing people, it is indirectly related to the second leading cause of death in the U.S. Looks like Alan Wilson is on to something. Clearly he knows more than the thousands of scientists across the globe who have put the notion that weed kills people to death. The man who claimed voter fraud in 2012 when, supposedly, 900 dead people voted for someone running opposite him, clearly knows more than them. I’m just glad someone stepped up and said it. He just needed me to put the pieces together. Mr. Wilson if you’re reading this I’ll gladly help contribute to your next campaign any way possible.
