On December 10th I got on the scale. This clip sums it up. The week before Christmas is Top-1 worst times to start a diet, but I was disgusted with myself. I decided I was going to get back in the gym and eat healthy. I also decided to drink a gallon of water a day and see if it made me feel any better. I had done zero research into if this helps, but I figured it can’t be bad for me so screw it. A month later and I have my answer.
First, I pee. A lot. I pee even when I don’t have to pee. You know when you’re dreaming you’re taking a leak and you wake up and have to sprint to the bathroom because sheets are about to turn from white to yellow? Yeah thats me every 10 minutes. I’ll leave the bathroom then do a 180 and walk right back in. I recently learned of the gooch press to get that last little bit out and that has bought me a few extra minutes between trips.
I try and drink the entire gallon before 4, that way I only have to go like, 10 times before I go to sleep instead of 20 (literally. I learned the hard way that if I drank at all after 4 I was screwed). My schedule is as follows- quarter gallon before 10, half gallon from 10-2, quarter gallon between 2-4.
As for the results? No idea if it has had any effect on my health. I don’t cramp anymore, I guess. I could probably drink my pee if I was in a sticky situation and just keep hydrating myself. In one hole out the other.
If you choose to try it, don’t read any articles telling you about the benefits, because it’s all bullshit. Just listen to me. You’ll spend more time in the bathroom that ever before, some may ask you if you have a UTI (shout out my brother) because you’re constantly going number 1 out of your number 1, and just know you’re consuming more water in a day that 90% of the world has access to in a month. Think of it like this. You’re drinking more water a day than the average person in Africa has access to. At least you’re hydrated!
